Loadout Cards come in 9 forms:
Default, Lead, Iron, Bronze, Special Edition, Silver, Gold, Cobalt and Obsidian.
Bronze is the highest gameplay tier. Tiers above are purely cosmetic changes.
There are two generations of loadout card. Generation one cards can only be purchased from the store. Generation 2 cards can obtained from crafting and uncrating.
Obsidian and Special Edition loadouts are not exchangeable, and are not available through ordinary means.
Default, Lead and Iron cards all share the same pose per merc, Bronze and Silver cards share the same pose per merc, and Gold and Obsidian cards share the same pose per merc.
Default and Obsidian are special in that they have special subtitle text (known examples are "Default", "Beta Fighter", "Founders")
Weapons[]
Lead through Gold cards have subtext that describes the loadout.
For example, there is a Lead Skyhammer card that has the subtext "T51 Offensive Rifleman"
From this we know that the weapons in the loadout are

Augments[]
Default cards have 0 augments,
Lead cards have 1 augment,
Iron cards have 2 augments,
Bronze through Obsidian cards all have 3 augments.
Every loadout card belongs to a Family, or Tree, which has a specific loadout.
We will be using Vassili's F91 Tree for this example.
The Lead card of a Tree will have just one of the Augments and the same loadout. This F91 Lead card has Unshakeable.
The Iron card of a Tree will have two of the Augments and the same loadout. The F91 Iron card of this tree has Unshakeable AND Spares.
The Bronze card will have all three Augments of a Tree and the same loadout. The F91 Bronze card of this tree has Unshakeable, Spares AND Big Ears.
Higher tier cards will have the same weapon loadout and augments. Minor variances may occur on a few of the now unobtainable promotional cards. For this tree, Silver is mechanically identical to the Bronze, as is Gold, Cobalt and the Vassili Beta Fighter Obsidian card also belongs to this tree, with the same augments, but has F92 instead.
Skins[]
Each loadout card also applies a skin to the merc and their weapons. The normal skins are:
- Camouflage in Dirt, Galvanized, and Woodland for Lead, Iron, and Bronze cards respectively
- Urban camouflage for Silver cards
- Carbon Fiber for Silver cards
- Crown for Gold cards
- Bamboo Bamboo for Gold cards
- Swiss for Gold cards
- Fragment for Cobalt cards
- Shard for Cobalt cards
There are other skins that are either exclusive or are special edition, such as Rogue en Vogue skins.
